Take a closer look.Do you see the tiny shimmering fragments?
One might call them a symbol of hope for the future, but in reality, they are remnants of shells that once cradled pearls.

This is the second chapter of our project to give Akoya shells a new purpose.

Following the development of ceramic glaze, we sought a way to utilize even more of these shells—leading us to plaster.

To transform their main component, calcium carbonate, into pure calcium carbonate, an extensive process of washing, drying, and pulverizing is required.

Through ongoing collaboration with pearl-producing regions and firing facilities, we have refined our methods step by step.

The result is plaster, now reborn with moisture-regulating, deodorizing, and antibacterial properties. What once belonged to the sea now finds a new role, enriching the spaces around us.

Touch it.Take a deep breath.
Here lies a new story—one woven from materials that were once destined to disappear.
