“We went to New York.”
At the end of April, we made our way to New York.
It was the first time visiting the city—both for me personally, and for the brand.
New York is home to some of the world’s most renowned jewelry brands,
and to countless people who truly love jewelry.
This trip was all about creating a chance for ANNA DIAMOND to be seen in such a place.
I’ll admit—I was pretty nervous on the flight over.
The city is overflowing with unique, charismatic brands,
and standing out among them is no small feat.
Still, nervous or not, there’s only one thing we can do in New York:
To communicate, one by one, the ideas behind our designs,
the values we hold dear,
and the stories woven into our craftsmanship.
While in the city, we had the opportunity to meet stylists, editors,
and even present our brand to Colbo—a store I’d been curious about for quite some time.
The response was far more enthusiastic than I’d expected.
What touched me most was how deeply people resonated with our philosophy—
and the way we translate that into our designs.
And now, I have a wonderful announcement to share:
ANNA DIAMOND will soon be available at Colbo,
a beautiful shop in New York that I’ve long admired.
But Colbo is more than a store—
it’s a community.
Next to the shop, there’s a café bar where locals gather.
Some stop by mid-run, others come for their morning coffee.
It’s a space that nurtures gentle, everyday connections—
and to me, that kind of place holds real meaning.

There’s even a record booth inside.
Music, art, fashion—
all the creative forces swirl together without borders.
It’s a space where everything blends, naturally and effortlessly.
To have our first official retail partner be a place like this—
it’s hard to put into words just how much it means to me.
After spending a week in New York,
one thing became clear: the city runs on immense energy.
So much so, that if you don’t stay grounded in your own axis,
you might just get swept away.
At the same time, if you know what you want to express,
if your vision is clear,
there’s always someone—somewhere—who’s paying attention.
That was the beautiful side of the city’s energy I kept feeling.
In fact, after one presentation to a stylist,
they immediately loved the work and introduced us to others in the industry.
New York showed me that when you stay rooted in your own perspective
and know how to communicate it clearly,
unexpected doors open—through genuine, human connection.
The cost of living? As wild as the rumors say.
Gratefully (or maybe regretfully?),
our schedule quickly filled up with spontaneous appointments,
so I only had a few proper meals at restaurants during the whole week.
Even those few lunches hit around ¥5,000 each—ouch.
A painful kind of delicious! (lol)
Still, I want to feel that energy again.
Someday, I’d love to live in that city.
So—what’s next?
Paris? Or another round in New York?
Wherever we go,
we’ll stay true to ourselves.
ANNA DIAMOND will continue to move forward—
with clarity, with intention, and always in our own way.
(One little friend we met in NY—who followed us for quite some time.)
Summer heat is in full swing.
I hope you’re staying well and cool.
As for me, I’ve been calling my grandma three times a week
just to make sure she hasn’t gotten heatstroke...
Let’s all take care of ourselves—
our customers, our families, and our team—
so we can stay healthy in body and spirit throughout this season.
With love,
