【Our Philosophy】
Our Akoya pearl collection is made possible by our designer, Mori, who travels each year to pearl farming regions in Japan, building relationships with pearl farmers and selecting each pearl one by one.

Pearls are raised like children by skilled farmers over a span of three to five years. As the poet Misuzu Kaneko wrote, “everyone is different, and everyone is good,” and each pearl truly has its own expression in color and shape. Under conventional, uniform grading standards, these expressions can be judged negatively. In this series, we chose instead to place them at the center.

For pearls and for people alike, we believe fitting a given mold is not everything. This piece is for those who want to let the world say what it will, and stay true to their own color and shape.
