Care at home
Home Care Guide
Care Guide
Care guide by material
Please select a materialK18 gold is an alloy of 75% pure gold, strong enough for everyday wear. However, if sweat, oils, or hand cream are left on it, they can cause dullness.
Daily care (one minute is enough)
After taking it off, simply wipe it lightly with a soft cloth. A microfiber cloth, like the kind for glasses, is ideal. You can find one in the "lens cleaner" section of a 100-yen shop or a drugstore.
When the dirt bothers you
Add 1 to 2 drops of neutral kitchen detergent (dishwashing liquid) to lukewarm water (a little cooler than a bath) and soak for about five minutes. Gently loosen the dirt with the tip of a toothbrush, rinse thoroughly with water, and wipe off the moisture with a dry cloth.
Just avoid this
Hot springs, pools, and seawater are strictly off-limits. The sulfur and chlorine in the water cause discoloration. Make a habit of taking it off when bathing or playing sports.
Platinum is highly resistant to discoloration and rarely causes allergies, an excellent material. However, as a metal it has a soft nature, and small scratches can appear through everyday wear.
Daily care
Simply wipe it lightly with a soft cloth (a glasses cloth or microfiber cloth). When the dirt bothers you, you can wash it with lukewarm water and dishwashing detergent, just like gold.
When scratches bother you
Fine scratches on platinum can become part of its "well-worn character" and add charm. If you want to restore its shine, please use our polishing (cleaning) service. We do not recommend polishing at home.
Silver gradually darkens even just from contact with air. This is a property specific to silver, and with the right care you can restore its original brilliance again and again.
How to remove tarnish (the simplest method)
Simply wipe it with a special cloth called a "silver polishing" or "silver polish cloth." The cloth is infused with a polishing agent, and the tarnish comes off just by rubbing. Searching for "silver polishing cloth" or "silver polish" on Amazon or Rakuten will find them for around 300 to 500 yen. They are also available at 100-yen shops.
For more stubborn tarnish
Dipping it for a few seconds in a liquid called "silver cleaner solution" dissolves and removes the tarnish. Try searching for "silver cleaner liquid" or "silver cleaning solution." You can buy one for around 1,000 yen.
An important note
For silver with plating (such as rhodium coating), do not use polishing cloths or liquid cleaners containing abrasives. The plating will peel off. If you are not sure whether there is plating, feel free to contact us.
A lab-grown diamond is a gem with exactly the same composition and hardness as a natural diamond. As the hardest of gems, it resists scratches and can be worn every day with confidence.
When the brilliance seems clouded
Diamonds readily absorb oils (skin oils, hand cream, and so on), and when these form a film on the surface, the brilliance can look clouded. Just add 1 to 2 drops of dishwashing detergent to lukewarm water, wash gently, and rinse with water to bring back the original brilliance.
Simply wiping works too
Just wiping it with a glasses cloth (microfiber cloth) removes everyday skin oils. When you are short on time, this alone is enough.
A pearl is a gem of natural origin that grows inside a shell. Unlike other gems, it is a delicate material vulnerable to acids and sweat, so it needs a little extra care.
Routine after wearing (this one thing is essential)
As soon as you take it off, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. It is important to wipe away sweat and cosmetics before they damage the pearl's surface. A glasses cloth is fine, but a dedicated "pearl cloth" (search for "pearl care cloth," around 500 to 1,000 yen) is even better.
What is absolutely a no
Pearls can never be washed with water, cleaned ultrasonically, or treated with cleaner solutions. Also, direct contact with perfume or hairspray damages the surface. The rule is to put on your jewelry last, after your makeup and sprays have fully dried.
How to store it
Storing it together with other jewelry can scratch the pearl's surface with hard metal or diamonds. Please store it separately in the jewelry case it came in, or wrapped in a soft cloth.
One by one, separately
When pieces of jewelry knock against each other, it can cause scratches. It is best to store them separately in the box or pouch they came in. If you store them together, use a jewelry case with dividers (searching for "jewelry case dividers" finds them from around 1,000 yen).
Points on where to keep it
A spot out of direct sunlight, with little humidity, is ideal. Avoid the washroom and bathroom, as they are humid. Keeping a desiccant (silica gel) with it helps prevent discoloration from humidity. The silica gel found in snack bags is enough.
When you will not wear it for a long time
For travel or the change of seasons, when you will not wear it for a while, wipe it lightly before putting it away. Leaving dirt on it can cause discoloration and dullness.
