The Reason It Somehow Clouds
The ring or necklace you chose with care seems less bright than when you bought it. This clouding of jewelry can be solved with a little knowledge.
In this guide, we share the jewelry care knowledge of ANNA DIAMOND's designers together with the wisdom of skilled Japanese artisans, so you can keep your treasured jewelry beautiful for a long time.
Everyday Care
Caring for jewelry is not difficult.A small daily habitcan change the shine remarkably.
Wipe It Off When You Take It Off
When you take off your jewelry, wipe it gently with a soft cloth, such as a lens cloth. This alone prevents clouding from oils and sweat.
Last On, First Off
The rule before heading out isput jewelry on last and take it off first. By putting on jewelry after makeup, hairspray, and perfume have dried, you prevent these chemicals from touching it directly.
Care by Material
The points to watch differ by material. Check the material of your jewelry and choose the right care.
Platinum (Pt950 / Pt900)
The most low maintenance material.Resists tarnish and stands up even to sulfur in hot springs。
Yellow gold / Pink gold (K18YG / K18PG)
Relatively easy to care for.Be mindful of sulfur in hot springs and chlorine based cleaners.
White gold (K18WG)
Because it has a rhodium coating, recoating every two to three years is recommended.
Silver (SV925)
reacts with sulfur in the airaging (sulfidation)may appear on this material. It is easily restored with a silver polishing cloth.
Diamond
Oleophilicso it clouds easily with skin oils. Keep its natural brilliance with regular cleaning.
Akoya pearl
Especially delicate. Vulnerable to acids, sweat, and cosmetics. Ultrasonic cleaning and chemical detergents must never be used.

When to remove your jewelry, and how to store it
Bathing and hot springs: sulfur and body soap can cause discoloration
Sports and workouts: risk of wear from impact and sweat
Cooking and cleaning: chlorine detergents, oils, and food acids can affect it
The sea and pools: salt and chlorine cause damage
While sleeping: to prevent rings from bending and chains from breaking
Storage tips
Store each piece separately: pieces touching one another can cause scratches.
Avoid direct sunlight, heat, and humidity: keep in a dark place with little moisture.
A zip-top bag also helps: it prevents discoloration from sulfur in the air.
