Akashi, The Fluidity of Love
Part of ANNA DIAMOND's Fluidity of Love Collection, this piece was created in collaboration with the line artist Kaoru Yoshida.
Taking the phrase "the fluidity of love" as its starting point, silver reclaimed from urban mines becomes the canvas, on which delicate line drawings and diamonds are set.

A testament to love, beyond the ring.
A diamond as a testament to love is, in most cases, given from one person to another. It shines on only one hand, and at times rests quietly in a box.
Could there not be a freer, newer kind of testament to love?
Born from that question, this piece is a new proposal for a testament to love, one that lives alongside the space the two of you share.
The moment two lives cross
Silver reclaimed from urban mines is formed into a plate, and a canvas is spread across it.
Upon it are drawn two lines, each drawn from a different past edition of Kaoru Yoshida's work.
Like two people vowing their love, the two lines, having walked separate lives, cross upon a single plate.
At their point of intersection, a diamond quietly shines.
What awaits is a beauty that deepens with time.
This piece accompanies the Fluidity of Love Collection. What this collection emphasizes is that the very act of changing form is the essence of love.
This work makes that fluidity of love visible.
Pure silver deepens with the passing of time, and slowly takes on a quiet darkness.
And as the years accumulate, the contrast between the silver, the line drawing, and the diamond grows more pronounced. Its brilliance becomes richer, deeper, and greater across time.
Not something worn, but something kept within a space. A new way for the diamond to be.
The choice to display a diamond within the space two people share. Through the passing of time, the silver deepens, and as you watch that change, your two lives are layered together.
With time, love changes its form and grows ever more radiant.
Five years, ten years. A testament to love that shows a new expression in the light of each day. Something that shifts, yet remains ever present.
Love is not merely being eternal,
but watching a changing beauty together.
We hope this piece becomes a presence within your life together, quietly recalling the beauty of the fluidity of love.
